Dr. Mielke is the founder of Optimal Health Spectrums clinic. Dr. Mielke graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine, and did her Psychiatry residency at UCLA’s Neuropsychiatric Institute, where she became board certified in the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. After finishing her residency, she was an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA in the Department of Family Practice for several years, before moving to Pleasanton.

Dr. Mielke’s interest in overall mental and physical wellness for adults and children using Integrative Medicine began when she personally started having symptoms of age-related hormonal decline that none of her regular doctors knew how to address. She began going to many Integrative Medicine conferences, and is now additionally board certified through the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine – the largest Integrative Medicine group in the world. Dr. Mielke has discovered that these effective medical treatments improve both mental and physical health, and are unfortunately not well known by most doctors. She has learned that achieving optimal mental and physical health goes beyond just drugging symptoms, and often requires testing for and treating things such as chronic underlying toxicities, immune problems, hidden infections, nutritional deficiencies, and bioidentical hormone deficiencies. When these underlying health issues are addressed, most patients experience dramatic improvements in their health and quality of life, and are often able to get off of many of their prescription medications.

Dr. Mielke has given numerous talks to parent and doctor groups, has trained other doctors on integrative medicine, networks frequently with other top integrative medicine doctors around the country, conducts research on effective treatments and clinical findings, and has been interviewed extensively in the media, including local and national newspapers and television. Helping patients reach optimal health is her personal and professional mission.
